Description

The Old Vicarage is a house dating from the early 18th century, located in the Parish of Dronfield. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings, featuring quoins, an eaves cornice, coped gables with moulded kneelers, brick gable and ridge stacks, and a Welsh slated roof. The east elevation is symmetrical, with a 1-3-1 bay arrangement. It has two-storey canted bay windows with stone surrounds and a parapet cornice, each containing glazing bar sash windows. The central range features flat brick arches over the window openings, each with a keyblock and glazing bar frames of 4 x 3 panes. The doorway has a moulded stone architrave and a shallow cornice, leading to a six-panel door, accessed by two stone steps. An offshut is present at the rear, and there is a window opening dating from the 17th century.
