SK 35 NE PARISH OF BRACKENFIELD OGSTON LANE 4/13 (South Side) Conservatory to south-west of Ogston Hall GV II
Conservatory, now partly ruinous. c1865 by T C Hine. Ashlar sandstone. Single storey Eight bays by three bays. Rectangular plan with diagonally set single corner bays. Two stepped plinth. Moulded semi-circular headed, tracery, arches with tracery circles over and pierced spandrels set in rectangular bays. Buttressed piers between to eaves Small semi-circular headed arches through buttresses at second stage. Scrolled copings over. Above, square piers with chamfered corners. Plain entablature over, broken by projecting panelled capitals. Moulded cornice. Formerly large cast iron glazed dome above.
