Description
The range of outbuildings located to the northwest of Sheeplea House Farmhouse dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed from regularly coursed gritstone, featuring quoins and coped gables with plain kneelers on the northern range, while the western buildings have a plain gable. The north range has a modern sheeting roof, and the western section is covered with a Welsh slate roof. The north range is stepped, with a lower building at the west end and a flight of stone steps leading to a doorway at first floor level in the eastern gable. This doorway has a quoined surround and a deep lintel, topped with a plain boarded door. The western building is connected to the north range by a tall masonry wall and is two storeys high, with a blocked quoined doorway on the west elevation. The outbuildings are listed for their group value.
