Description
Lime Tree House is a house dated 1705, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble gritstone with quoins, has coped gables, a gable stack at the west end, and a Welsh slate roof. The south elevation is two storeys and an attic with two bays. An off-centre doorway is flanked by openings with plain lintels. An altered window is located to the east. On the first floor are two openings: one is a 2-light 17th century chamfered mullioned window with a 6-paned casement and fixed light; the other is a single-light 17th century opening with a leaded light. A 19th century gabled dormer window lights the attic, featuring a 2-light window with 6-pane casements. A plaque above the doorway is inscribed with "G I H 1705".
