Description

Ivy House is an 18th-century building located on Nottingham Road in Tansley. It has an L-shaped layout and is constructed from coursed stone rubble. The house stands three storeys high and features two sash windows with plain surrounds, along with a small wheel window positioned between them. The entrance includes a square-headed doorway topped with a slight cornice hood. The eaves are plain, and the end gables are coped with kneelers. The roof is covered with slates. At the rear, there is a two-storeyed wing that has a roof made of old stone tiles.
