Description

Heath Lea House is an early 19th-century house located on Nottingham Road in Tansley. It has an L-shaped plan. The main part of the house is constructed of stone, with two storeys and three sash windows set in plain surrounds. A plain pilaster doorcase features a cornice hood supported by consoles. The end gables are coped with kneelers. To the rear of the main house is a late 17th or early 18th-century stone rubble building, originally one storey high. This earlier section has a roof of old stone tiles and includes a blocked doorway.
