Description

The Rocks is a pair of early 19th-century villas designed in the "cottage orne" style, which were formerly known as Rock Villa. The building is constructed of stucco and has two storeys, featuring advanced gabled wings on each side. The central section has three windows with cast iron "Gothic" glazing bars, while each wing contains a later sash window. The villas are adorned with ornamental bargeboards that have drop finials, bold lined eaves, and stone stacks that are set diagonally. The roof is covered with slates. On the right-hand side, there is a two-storeyed wing that includes a two-light window with a balcony above an open arcaded loggia. A large conservatory is located on the left-hand side.
