Description
Pearl Bank Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was encased in early 19th-century materials and has undergone various later alterations. It features a timber frame set on a stone plinth, encased in red brick with brick dressings, and has an asbestos sheet roof with plain bargeboards. The farmhouse has a large external brick stack on the east side and a smaller brick gable stack on the west gable. It is two storeys high with garrets and has a double range plan with two gabled bays at the front.
The south elevation includes a segment-headed doorcase with a glazed panelled door located just to the west of the centre, alongside a small inserted 20th-century window. To the east, there is a tripartite plain sash window under a segment head. Above this, there are two similar windows, and in the western gable, there is a 2-light window under a segment head. The eastern gable has a similar blocked opening. Between the gables, below the central valley, are three tie heads. The interior showcases an exposed timber frame. The farmhouse is included for its group value only.
