Description

Thurvaston House is an 18th-century public house, later converted into a house. Constructed around the middle of the 18th century and recently restored, it is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with brick detailing and a plain tile roof topped with moulded stone copings. The western side features a brick gable stack. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays. A 20th-century double-glazed door sits beneath a segmental head, flanked by three-light glazing bar casement windows also under segmental heads. A further three-light glazing bar casement window is located to the west. Above, three flat-headed three-light glazing bar casements are set between the eastern two windows, with a bracketed signboard displaying the house name.
