Description
The lych gate and shelter, which has been converted into a bus stop, is connected to the churchyard by a retaining wall. This structure dates from the late 19th century and is made of rock-faced sandstone and timber framing with weatherboard cladding. It features plain tile roofs. The lych gate, located to the north, has stone plinths on either side and a wooden superstructure that supports a hipped roof with ridge crosses. Below the roof, there are double wooden gates. Attached to both sides of the lych gate is a rock-faced retaining wall with chamfered copings. At the southern end of the wall, there is a timber-framed shelter with weatherboarding on three sides and a gabled roof above. The western truss of the shelter has a carved plaque inscribed with 'To commemorate sixty years reign of Queen Victoria'. This structure is included for its group value only.
