Description
Top Stydd Farmhouse is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century with 19th-century additions. The building is constructed of red brick with brick dressings and features plain tile roofs, brick ridges, and western gable stacks, along with a dentilled eaves band. It stands three storeys high and has two main bays, plus a single-bay, two-storey addition to the west.
The central part of the farmhouse has two three-light segment-headed casement windows, which are flanked by plank doors also under segment heads. The west addition has a similar three-light window. Above these, there are three similar windows, with the west window featuring glazing bar casements. On the top floor, there are two flat-headed glazing bar casement windows; the west window is three-light, while the east window is two-light.
