Description
Edlaston Hall is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features plain tile roofs, stone coped gables, and moulded kneelers. It has a massive panelled brick central stack and two gable end stacks. The structure consists of two storeys plus garrets, with lower two-storey wings and a semi-basement in the central block.
The north elevation has seven bays. The central five-bay block showcases chamfered quoins and a moulded stone eaves cornice. The semi-basement includes a doorway and three blocked two-light stone mullion windows with flush stone surrounds. Above this, there is a central doorway with a moulded lugged architrave featuring a keystone, leading to a 19th-century half-glazed door. A side stair leads up, and the central block is flanked by glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels, which are in turn flanked by blind windows with segmental heads. Above these, there are three similar blind openings, with two 19th-century glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels positioned between them. The lower outer bays may date from the 19th century and each has a two-light casement window on both floors, also with wedge lintels. The rear elevation features a gabled staircase tower. The interior has not been inspected.
