Description

Old Masson House is a late 18th-century building located at 1390 Derby Road in Cromford. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has two storeys. The façade features three sash windows without glazing bars, set within plain architraves. The entrance has a moulded wood doorcase framed by a plain architrave, topped with a Roman-arched head and a segmental fanlight. The building is decorated with bands, quoins, and a moulded cornice, and it is covered with old stone tiles. There is a recessed wing on the right-hand side and a later wing on the left-hand side, which includes one sash window.
