Description
This is a house located to the southwest of Green Farm, originally built in the 17th century and later modified in the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a plain tile roof with stone coped gables that have kneelers, as well as brick gable end stacks. The house has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys tall.
The south elevation is double fronted, featuring a central doorway with a chamfered stone surround and a modern glazed door. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows set in stone surrounds. Above, there are two similar window openings that now have modern casements. The house retains the remains of a low stone plinth.
On the east gable, there is a blocked 2-light chamfered mullion window with a moulded stone surround. To the north, there is a lower wing that has a slate roof. The house is listed for its group value.
