Description
The stables located to the northwest of Blackwall House were built in 1633, as indicated by the date on the door lintel. They are constructed from coursed squared gritstone and feature a plain tiled roof with stone coped gables and kneelers. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The east facade displays irregular fenestration, with two doorways that have stone lintels and quoins. There are also two-light windows with chamfered mullions. The gable end facing the road includes a sundial positioned above a first-floor three-light chamfered mullioned window. Inside, there are remnants of 19th-century stable fittings.
