Description

8 St Johns Street is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features two sash windows along with a three-light window without glazing bars on the curved return at the right-hand side. The building has two simple wooden doorcases that each contain six-panel doors. Notable architectural details include dentilled eaves and old tiles on the roof. This building is listed at Grade II for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 4 to 14 (even) and the Former Wirksworth Maternity Home.
