Description

This is a two-story building on St John's Street, dated 1719. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble and has plain eaves and slate roofing. The front of the building originally featured a single, later-installed three-light sash window. A plain doorway and a 19th-century shop front are also present. The returned side of the building reveals a later three-light window, a blocked two-light mullioned window, and a doorway with a plain surround. The doorway’s lintel is dated 1719 and topped with a hood supported by consoles. Nos. 31 to 37, being the odd numbers, form a notable group.
