Description

This is an early 19th-century building on St Johns Street, originally comprising three properties, now numbered 10, 12, and 14. The building is constructed of stone and extends to three storeys. It features three three-light wood mullioned windows on each floor, alongside a smaller sash window, all with plain lintels. Two simple doorways are set within plain surrounds. Number 10 has a six-panel door within a rusticated surround, incorporating a semi-circular head and a fanlight with Gothic glazing bars; steps lead up to the doorway. The building has plain eaves and is topped with old tiles. It is Grade II listed for Group Value, forming a group with numbers 4 to 14 (even) and the Former Wirksworth Maternity Home.
