Description
The Church of England School, built in the early 19th century, consists of two wings set at right angles. It is constructed of stone and features hipped slate roofs. Each block has two semi-circular headed windows, which have been altered by lowering the sills and adding modern lights, along with a plain doorway. The doorway on the north side has a semi-circular head and a wheel fanlight. The building also has moulded eaves and stone stacks. It is listed as Grade II for its group value with the nearby Arkwright Houses, Nos 1 to 11 (consecutive), Church of England School Nos 1 & 2 (School House), and the Arkwright Houses, Nos 14 to 29 (consecutive).
