Description
The kitchen garden walls, located 10 yards north-west of the barn at Longford Hall, date from the 18th and 19th centuries, with some minor alterations from the 20th century. They are constructed of red brick, featuring occasional vitrified headers and moulded terracotta and stone copings. The original 18th-century square of walls stands 12 feet high and is complemented by additional walls to the north and east. The south faces of the north and south walls have pilaster strips approximately every 12 feet. The eastern wall is marked with '17??' inscribed in vitrified headers. The additional walls to the north and east were built in the 19th century, with the northern wall including a 19th-century peach house on its south side.
