Description
91-97 Saltergate is an early 19th-century red brick terrace featuring a stuccoed plinth and moulded eaves. The building has a slate roof with coped gable ends and kneelers, rising three storeys high. It includes seven windows, primarily sashes with glazing bars, although the windows of Nos 91 and 97 have been converted to top light openings, and the top two floors of No 95 on the west side have modern glazing in the older sash spaces. The doors are set within elliptical arches that have keystones, impost bands, and fanlights with tracery. Additionally, the doors of Nos 93 and 95 are connected by a stuccoed panel that features a narrow arched entrance to the rear, which is fitted with an iron gate topped with spearhead finials. The south facade of No 2 Marsden Street forms the end of the terrace.
