Description
Tapton Lock, built around 1777, is part of the Chesterfield Canal, originally designed by James Brindley and completed by his brother-in-law, Henshall. This narrow lock is constructed of stone and features a brick band with stone coping. The entrance is made of stone-coped brickwork.
