Description
No. 106 High Street is a farmhouse dated 1758, constructed from coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings and quoins. It features a machine tile roof with gable stacks and stone coped gables that have plain kneelers. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a three-bay south elevation. The entrance is off-centre, marked by a massive ashlar lintel and jambs, leading to a 20th-century plank door. To the right of the door is a 2-light square section flush mullion window, which has 20th-century louvred shutters. To the left, there is a staircase window with three vertical lights, the middle one being blind. Further left, another 2-light square section flush mullion window also has 20th-century louvred shutters. Above, there are two similar windows. The date stone on the building is inscribed with "W G A 1758."
