Description
The former stables and coach house to Wingfield House, now a workshop, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared coal measures sandstone and features intermediate ridge brick stacks. The building has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate.
It stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. The eastern end has a stilted segmental carriage archway with quoins, rusticated voussoirs with a keyblock, and planked double doors. There are four windows with plain surrounds, all fitted with glazing bar horizontal sashes, except for the first-floor window at the west end. Additionally, there are two doors with quoined surrounds, massive lintels, and planked doors. The east gable includes a 2-light flush mullioned window on the upper floor.
