Description
The Manor is a public house, originally listed as The Manor Hotel, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins, features coped gables, end brick ridge stacks, and has a Welsh slated roof. The building has an 'L' shape, with a lower two-storey range extending westwards at the south end and an added lower bay at the north gable.
The main range is three storeys high and has two bays, which contain stacked two-light flush mullioned windows, with 20th-century pivot windows or fixed lights. The ground floor openings have louvred shutters. There is a central doorway that has a painted quoined surround and a shallow bracketed hood, which supports a carved stone lion.
The lower bay features a single two-light flush mullioned window, louvred shutters, and painted quoins. The lower two-storey range at the rear has 20th-century frames for the openings on the south wall but retains 18th-century flush mullioned windows on the north wall.
