Description

The Metropolitan Police Box at The National Tramway Museum is a Mark 2 police box designed by Gilbert Mackenzie Trench and manufactured between 1930 and 1937. It is made of pre-cast concrete and has a square plan with each face being identical. Each face features six lower panels and two small fixed lights with glazing bars above. The doorway is located on the right half of the east face, and the entire structure is topped with a blue light. Originally, this police box was situated on the North Circular Road in London before being moved to its current location in 1983.
