Description
Nos 8 to 12 (consecutive), 12A, and 14 on Well Lane are a terrace of modest two-storey houses built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, likely by the Strutts. The houses are constructed from coursed stone and feature a hipped roof covered with old slate, along with brick stacks. Each house typically has two windows, except for No 8, which has one window facing Well Lane and another on the side. The windows are generally sashes or iron casements. The facade of No 11 has been rendered, and No 12A has modern glazing in the earlier sash spaces. Additionally, there is a stone garden wall on the eastern street boundary that includes a recess for a pump.
