Description
Milford Baptist Chapel is a coursed stone building dating from 1849, set on a high rusticated stone plinth. The main elevation faces south at a right angle to the road and features a hipped slate roof. The design is symmetrical, with a central entrance framed by a plain stone doorcase that has a flat hood supported by scrolled brackets. On either side of the entrance are tall round-arched windows, each with stone archivolts, keys, and impost bands. The side elevation has three windows of the same design, while the lower rear wing contains two smaller windows. The rusticated plinth extends southward as the base of a railed wall surrounding the churchyard. At the entrance, there are two tall square stone gate piers, each made from a single piece of stone and topped with pyramidal caps, along with an iron gate.
