Description
Plaistow Grange Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse, possibly with an earlier core. It is built from coursed squared gritstone and features quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, an intermediate and north gable stack, and a Welsh slated roof. The building has an 'L' plan.
The east elevation has two storeys and two bays, with stacked two-light flush mullioned windows that have recessed panels at their bases. Some of the upper parts of the window frames feature lozenge-shaped glazing. There is an off-centre doorway with a quoined surround, a massive lintel, and a plain planked door arranged in two panels. The north gable has blocked window openings that appear to be from the 17th century, and there are flush mullioned windows on the north wall of the rear wing.
