Description

The Cedars is a house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a roughcast exterior and a Welsh slate roof, with stone-coped gables that have plain kneelers and a low parapet on the north side. The building has two storeys and attics, with an irregular four-bay south elevation.

On the left side, there is a deeply projecting two-storey canted bay with a shallow hipped roof, which includes French doors and glazing bar sash windows on the ground floor, and three glazing bar sashes above. To the right, there is a two-storey flat-roofed projecting porch that has a half-glazed door on the ground floor and a sash window above. Further to the right, there is a broad projecting ground floor bay with a hipped roof, featuring a glazed door flanked by glazing bar sashes, and a single glazing bar sash above. There are additional glazing bar sashes on the right side of the elevation.

The north elevation has two glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, two on the first floor, and an intermediate sash window that lights the stairs, all equipped with louvred shutters. Inside, there is an open string staircase with stick balusters around a square well, topped with a ramped handrail. There are also two hipped roof dormers. The additions to the right of the main structure are not considered of listable quality.
