Description

No. 7 Chapel Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, with some additions from the mid-19th century. It is built from coursed squared gritstone, featuring gritstone dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof with stone gable stacks. The house is two storeys tall and has a two-bay east elevation. This elevation includes a central projecting doorway or shallow porch that has a concave segment-headed surround and cornice moulding. The door is raised and fielded with a Gothick overlight above it. To the left of the door is a mid-19th century canted bay window with single bar sashes, while to the right is a glazing bar sash set in a flush stone surround. There are two similar sashes located above these features.
