Description

The Primitive Methodist Chapel, located in Ashleyhay, was built in 1851 as a non-conformist chapel. It is constructed from regularly coursed gritstone blocks and features a hipped plain tile roof. The building is single storey and has a central doorway with plain stone jambs, a lintel, and a keystone, along with a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are segmental headed windows that include central opening lights. Above the doorway, there is a plaque that reads, "Primitive Methodist Chapel. 1851. This ground and stone given by William Pidock."
