Description
43 and 45 Park Side are a pair of early 19th-century terraced cottages that retain their original features. They are constructed of ashlar stone and have a slate roof, rising to two and a half storeys. Each cottage has one window, featuring sash windows with glazing bars and small panes, topped with dressed stone lintels. The entrances have plank doors, also with similar lintels and moulded architraves. The cottages are set on an embanked and paved stone terrace, which is accessed by stone steps. There is a simple iron railing with scrolled ends that includes a footscraper. Park Side was formerly known as Kiln Lane, as recorded in the Ordnance Survey of 1879.
