Description

The Fountain is a Grade II listed structure located in the Market Place, built in 1881 to commemorate the paving of the Market Place by G Strutt. This polygonal white stone fountain features Gothic arched blind panels and a polygonal cap that once supported a lamp. On opposing faces of the fountain, there are two bronze lion heads, each with a small pink polished granite bowl positioned below.
