Description

No 1 High Street is an early 19th-century building that forms the end of a block of tall terraced houses at the junction of three streets, closing the north side of the market place area. The main facade, facing High Street, is made of ashlar stone and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has two sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance is a central six-panel door topped with a stone lintel. The south-western end elevation has a double span roof, while the end wall is rendered with white roughcast. The rear elevation, which faces Church Street, is irregular in shape.
