Description

The Unitarian Sunday School is a building likely dating from the early to mid-19th century. A plaque over the door indicates it served as the Unitarian Sunday School from 1721 to 1855. The original Unitarian Meeting House was established in 1721 on Market Street Lane, now known as Green Lane. The structure features roughcast render over brick and has a slate roof. It is two storeys high with two windows and an additional window above the centre door. The windows have fixed lights with glazing bars and small centre opening lights, while the lower windows are framed with plain stone. The centre door has a similar surround and a cornice above the plaque. Additionally, there was a Unitarian Meeting House built in 1782 on Field Row.
