Description
The Medcalf tombs, dating from 1661 and 1669, are located in the churchyard of St. Mary, to the south of the south chancel chapel in Ashwell. These tombs feature stone coffin lid types with headstones. The inscriptions on the tombs are dedicated to Charles Medcalf and his wife Ann Metcalf, and they face away from the tombs themselves.
