Description

The Cole tomb and headstone, located in the churchyard of St. Mary to the south of the south chancel aisle, date from 1678 and 1670 respectively. The tomb is a stone coffin lid type, accompanied by a headstone and an additional headstone. The headstone for Guy Cole has an inscription that faces away from the tomb, while a separate headstone bears the inscription for his wife, Letisse Coal. Both are situated to the south of the south chancel aisle.
