Description
Ashwell Lodge is a house dating from the 18th century, 19th century, and early 20th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone, with red brick at the rear, and features a Collyweston slate roof with four red brick ridge stacks, including a left end projecting stack and rear stacks. The main front faces the garden and consists of two storeys with nine sash windows, mostly arranged as 6/6, all with stone sills.
To the left, there is an early 20th-century addition that has a hipped roof and a wooden canted bay window featuring sash windows, along with two additional sashes above. The central section includes a French window with a flat canopy and a sash window above, flanked by two-storey hipped roof canted stone bays, both with sash windows. To the right, there are four more windows on both floors, with the second ground floor window being a tripartite sash. Above the last two windows on the right, there are two small gables with prominent stone eaves. The entrance door is located at the left end and is topped with a stone pediment above a double-leaved door, with sash windows to the right and above.
