Description
Barrowden House is a house dating from around 1700 and 1724. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and has a composition stone slate roof featuring a moulded stone central ridge and end stacks. The stone coped gables face the front, which is to the left. The building has three storeys with three 2-light renewed casements, a 2-light glazed door, and two 3-light windows on the ground floor. There is a stone tablet with the initials R. and the date 1724 located at the top centre right of the front. On the right end, there is a single-storey extension with a pantile roof, along with one and two-storey extensions at the rear. Inside, the house features beams and two inglenooks, one of which has a moulded beam. The building is included for its group value.
