Description

Chestnut Farmhouse is a cottage, probably from the 18th century. It is built of coursed rubble and has a tiled roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has a three-unit plan, featuring a doorway set in a brick gabled porch. The ground floor windows have horizontal sliding sashes and flat timber lintels. There are dormer windows with long sloping tiled heads that recede back into the roof pitch. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a small barn that has a single window and a door.
