Description

The Smithy is a small cottage located on the green, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with angle quoins and features a stone tiled roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has a single unit plan. On the ground floor, there is a single shuttered window with a flat timber lintel, and a dormer window above it. The doorway is situated in a small lean-to on the right side of the cottage. To the left, there is a small boarded barn, which is presumably the forge itself.
