Description
Hillside Farmhouse is a farmhouse originally built in the 18th century, featuring a two-unit range that was later extended to the left. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with angle quoins and has a stone tiled roof. The front facade includes a blocked central doorway and a canted wooden bay window to the left, along with a 12-light sash window to the right, which is adorned with voussoirs. Above, the sash windows have flat timber lintels. There is a doorway on the east side wall that leads into a wood canopied porch, located in the extension behind the main gabled range. To the left of the front elevation, there is a single bay extension that is also two storeys high, featuring sash windows with voussoirs and a hipped roof. This extension continues with a two-bay wing to the rear, which includes full-height canted bay windows and 6-light sash windows. The farmhouse has an axial stack and another stack on the rear gable of the wing.
