Description
Church Cottage, likely built in the 18th century, is located just outside the churchyard. The cottage is constructed of coursed rubble with rough quoins and features a stone tiled roof with coped gables and an end stack. It is two stories high and has a two-unit plan, including dormers. The casement windows have chamfered timber lintels, and there is a single dormer at the rear. A large ceiling beam is visible in section in the rear wall. Adjacent to the cottage, at right angles, are paired iron gates leading to the churchyard, which date from the mid-19th century. These gates are flanked by railings with spearhead designs mounted on a coped stone parapet. The cast iron gate piers are topped with fleur de lys finials, and the paired gates feature spear heads and a decorated lower panel.
