Description

56 High Street is an early 19th-century brick building. It features a projecting eaves cornice supported by paired brackets. The High Street elevation consists of two storeys with three windows; the central window section and the quoins project forward. There is a stone band, and the windows have plain reveals with straight stone arches and cills. The stone doorway has a flat arch, and there is a stone plinth. A modern entrance, added in 1924, is located on Gaol Street.
