Description

This is an early 18th-century house and shop. The front is painted red brick, with a steep stone slate roof and two gabled dormers. It is two storeys high. There are now three windows and a shop front. The central door is flanked by a 19th-century bay window on one side and a modern bay on the other. A 19th-century trellised porch has a canted lead roof, along with modern-rendered plinth blocks and steps. A stone two-storey extension, also from the early 19th century, includes a passage arch. The building forms a group with Victoria Hall and numbers 41, 45 to 49 (odd).
