Description
No. 41 High Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a modern tile roof that is hipped towards the road. The building has a decorative lions mask ornament at the gutter. It stands three storeys tall and has two windows on the first floor, which are adorned with stone flat arches that include keystones. The ground floor has been modernized for shops. On the Church Street side, there is a loft doorway and an altered window. No. 41, along with Victoria Hall and Nos. 44 and 44A, is part of a group of buildings of architectural significance. Additionally, it forms a group with Victoria Hall and Nos. 41, 45 to 49 (odd).
