Description
The Horse and Panniers and The Bakery is a former public house, possibly originally a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a Collyweston slate roof with a brick central ridge and end stacks. The building has a gable facing the street, with a front that is slightly to the left. It is 1½ storeys high and has three 2-light dormers. To the left, there is a low 1-storey extension that projects forward, which includes a 2-light casement window with a small 1-light window above it, a door with a Collyweston slated canopy, and a 3-light casement window. Extending from the right end is another 1-storey extension that has a part-glazed door, a 20th-century bow window, and a small outhouse with a Welsh slate roof, a stable door, and a 6-pane window on the right end facing the street.
