Description
The stables at Luffenham Hall date from the 16th century and were refenestrated in the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble stone with quoins, stone dressings, and timber framing, topped with a hipped Collyweston slate roof on the left end. The building consists of two ranges; the left range is two storeys high, with stone at the bottom and three bays of close studded timber framing above. This section features two doors, a two-light window, and lintels with keystones. The right range, dating from the late 16th century, is also two storeys but lower in height. It includes two doors, a two-light window, and two one-light windows with stone frames, along with stone steps leading up to a first-floor door that has a stone-framed window above it. The upper part of the rear wall is timber framed, with close studding that is rendered.
