Description
Lyndon House is a house dating from the mid-17th century, constructed from dressed and coursed ironstone, with the front wall primarily made of large blocks and the remainder in rubble. It features a Welsh slate roof with stone coped gables and ashlar chimneys that have chamfered bases and neckings at the gables and to the right of centre. The building has two storeys with a blind attic and is composed of three bays. The windows are leaded, with ovolo-moulded ironstone mullions; there are three-light windows on the ground floor with Tudor hoodmoulds, two three-light windows to the left on the first floor, and two two-light windows to the right on the first floor. A two-panelled door is located between the right bays, featuring a moulded four-centred ironstone arch and a Tudor hoodmould. Iron tie crosses are present, and the right bay may have been built slightly differently. There is a small single-storey extension to the right, which has a blind two-light attic window with chamfered stone mullions in the left gable. The interior has been much altered.
